One morning lesson. I got my hand up first, so i taught it— A 30ish woman who had good balance but wanted to go very slowly and carefully on the bunny slope. I stayed until afternoon line-up, then went home. |
Zero group lessons, ski or snowboard. The supervisors released half of us after morning line-up. I went shopping then home. Early game at winter league ultimate. We never quite gelled and lost to the Black team 37-27. I threw a nice bladey goal and a push pass, so i was happy. I had decided that i would take at least one picture every day in April, but i made it two days before i forgot. |
Morning group lesson, one adult. I don't remember what level. There was a cool halo around the sun in the morning. |
Full day lesson, one kid. I think he was a blue/black level. There was nice mist in the Okemo Valley this morning. |
Last day. No lessons. |
Went over to the farm. |
Finally took the Christmas tree down. We lost to the Zombie Corndogs (late game) at winter league ultimate 31-30. We were on the field without a working scoreboard and there was some confusion at the end where we thought it was tied, but they had one more point than us. Oh well. |
Drove down to Philadelphia. Stopped in to see Russ at the hardware store, then started looking around my parents' house in preparation for moving stuff out. Mommy and Daddy took me out to dinner at the Iron Hill Brewery in Chestnut Hill. |
Moved a lot of boxes and furniture. Had dinner with Daddy at the dining area at Foulkeways. It had a weird school-cafeteria vibe, but all old people. |
This is the ET figurine that i somehow ended up with in the 80s. I mutilated it and hung it from the ceiling in my room. It was still hanging there. I met Russ to throw a disc for a while, then we had a decent dinner at the Trolley Car Diner. |
I drove over to Ogontz Ave. to pick up the Uhaul trailer. Parents came over and we had lunch at the High Point Cafe (unimpressed). Kiddy came by with her dog Moshi and helped me move some stuff, then we went out to dinner at Tiffen Indian food. |
Russ picked me up and we went to play some pick-up ultimate. It was only 4-on-4 and most of the players were old guys, but it was pretty fun. Finished loading up the trailer. |
Took some last pics of the house, then pulled out of the driveway and immediately ran the fender of the trailer into the telephone pole by the street. Ugh. Rainy/snowy at the lake. I made some mac and cheese for dinner. |
Drove back to Vermont and made it in time to join the rest of my team at the last winter league game. We finally won by 10 points or so against the Red team. |
Unloaded the trailer, then took it in to Rutland to drop it off. Found out that when i rented it, the guy at the UHaul place added in the insurance, so i was all set with the fender damage. |
Farm. |
Went in to Okemo to start my summer job. Chris, Greg, and i organized all of the zipline braking systems and placed a few of them under their corresponding platforms on the course. |
Greg, Milkcrate, and i installed all the braking systems for zips one through five. |
Greg, Everett, and i moved all of the zip and challenge course gear into the SnowStars room and organized it since it was a rainy cold day. In the afternoon we went out and tested zips one through five. |
Greg, Everett, and i installed the brakes for zips six and seven. It was a cold morning, but got pretty nice by afternoon. |
Day off. Went to the farm, then drove down to Springfield to see Avengers: Endgame. It was an impressive and powerful cap to ten years of Marvel movies. |
Drove to work in alternating rain and snow. Bill and Chad from Phoenix Experiential Designs arrived and inspected all of the gear all morning. In the afternoon the rain had mostly stopped and we went out and slowly inspected the entire zipline course. It was a little chilly. |
Drove down to Granby, MA for the D1 College Regionals. Megan and i watched the women's semifinal games and i took some pics, then we observed the men's UMass vs. Northeastern semifinal (universe point video here), the women's game-to-go (Northeastern vs. Harvard), and the men's game-to-go (UMass vs. Tufts). It was cold and rainy all day, but not too cold and rainy. |
