Challenge course, then Liam and i did a 4-person zip tour in the afternoon—he on lead, me on sweep.

Led a tour of 4 and a tour of 8 with Rissa, then swept a tour of 8 with Keenan. My friend Eric showed up at the end of the day and we went out to dinner at the Rustic Rooster, then stopped by the farm at sunset.

Did inspection all by myself, then did tours with Sean. Don't remember if we did two or three.

Did inspection with Nicky, then led a tour of 5 with her. She wasn't feeling well, so i swept a tour of 6 with Keenan, then led a tour of 7 (Ian's family) with Liam. That evening, Ian and i drove up to Warren, Vermont for a decent-enough pickup game of ultimate.

Inspection and three tours as sweep guide with Keenan. First tour had nine, second had one, third had three. We hustled through the last couple of zips on the last tour as thunder was approaching. Everything closed down when we heard a distinct rumble just as we finished the tour and it started to rain as i was leaving. Drove the Mini home through a torrential downpour.
Got the proofs for my latest book when i got home.

Drove down to the Carson's farm and took a horse-ride with Megan and Amy, then had lunch with them. I hadn't been on a horse since the family vacation in Colorado in 2003.

Inspection at 9:30 with Liam. He led the first tour of three, i led the afternoon tour of seven.
That evening, i went down to Magic Mountain and took pictures of their night-time disc golf round. The gas light in my FJ came on just as i was leaving East Wallingford and i discovered that you can't buy gas in Vermont after 8:00 PM. But i made it all the way down there and back, about 42 miles, without running out of gas.

Inspection with Keenan. No morning tour, so we set up the challenge course, then did two tours—one with nine, one with three. I was feeling tired from being up too late so Keenan led both.

I was scheduled to do inspection with Nicky, but she called out sick, so Patrick and i went, and we brought along Dom, supervisor of the Adventure Zone. It was drizzly/rainy the whole time. Team two had no tours, so i was in the challenge course until i went home at about 1:00. There were zero guests.

Came home to find my new snowboard on the porch!

Challenge course today. Two kids went through the course, then a family of four started, but we heard thunder, so retreated inside for half an hour. After that the family came back and the two kids finished all three levels, but the parents only got through two before we had to shut down for thunder again. After that, they closed for the day.

Challenge course today. Crazy busy. There was a trainload of people from Burlington and we were going non-stop all day.

Inspection and two tours with Liam, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Liam and Nicky went out on the middle tour with members of Liam's family so i worked in the challenge course.

Started the day being a little pissed off at Shaun because of some miscommunication. I got in at 8:00 to find that the ropes were gone and that Shaun was out hanging them. He didn't do the ground inspection though, so Liam and i went out after he got back. No morning tours, so i sat inside and inspected all of the guest harnesses, then Liam and i took out a tour of two people, Liam on lead. After a busy half-hour in the challenge course (i had to back-zip line 3 and rescue a girl who didn't want to continue), i led the afternoon tour of seven. I had to climb out on zip 2 to untangle the brake line, then had two EAD trips on zip 5, but both of the guests caught the rope i tossed. Almost everyone made it in to platform 8 without having to toss the rope, though and i had no retrievals.

Challenge course today. Only four guides there and it was pretty steady business until about 1:00. When i got back from my lunchbreak it tapered off to nothing and we closed up at about 2:30.

Scheduled to be in the challenge course today, but Shaun wasn't feeling well, so i took his spot for the last two zips, being sweep guide with Chase as lead guide—group of four then group of two.

We're running out of zipline guides. I did inspection and led three tours with Adaline, who's been supervising the challenge course all summer. Morning tour with a couple, midday tour of three women, afternoon tour of a couple and a mom, dad, and daughter. Really hot and muggy. I was spent by the end of the day (and my sixth day in a row).

I was told to come in for inspection at 10:00. When i got there, i was informed that i would be doing inspection all by myself. That was fine, i took my time. After that, i led a tour of 5 with Greg (Ski Patrol) on sweep, then worked in the challenge course until they closed up. Went up and pulled ropes by myself.
