Did inspection with Nicky, then went out to the challenge course. My friend Katie was coming up from Boston for the 2 o'clock tour, so i switched over to that, but got called out of the challenge course to do a tour at 12:15 of three people with Adaline as sweep. Finished that tour, grabbed a quick lunch, then got ready for the 2 o'clock tour. It was three guests, Adaline's mom and two brothers, and then a spot for Katie, but she got an emergency call just when she was arriving and had to drive all the way back to Boston! So we did the tour and when we got to the bottom, Adaline remembered that she'd left the coil of rope up on platform 7, so i hiked back up and zipped lines 6 and 7 again, collecting the two belay ropes.
I decided to do a little project, #SelfieSeptember, on Instagram. I would take one picture per day with my iPhone, using the back camera. This meant that i could get the photo in RAW format, but that i could't see a preview of the image while i was taking it. This first photo, taken outside my house, came out pretty well. What is on this page is the full, uncropped image, adjusted from the RAW image at the top with the actual Instagram post below.

I was in the challenge course all day and it was SUPER busy. Didn't get a lunch break until 2:30.
Selfie today was taken just after i got up, before i went to work. Not great.

Again scheduled for the challenge course, but after her morning zipline tour, Nicky asked to switch out with me so i was sweep guide on an 8-person tour with Shaun, then led a 5-person tour with Adaline in the afternoon. My friend Katie showed up this time and we took a mountain coaster ride before the zip tour, then hung out a bit afterwards until she had to hit the road back to Boston.

Drove down to Sportscar Services in Keene to have my carburator adjusted. Hung out and talked with Mike, the sole British mechanic there, for a while. Took my daily selfie in front of the shop.

I had a dentist appointment today at a new dentist, since my old dentist had retired. Took my daily selfie in the waiting room.

Went to the farm in the morning, then drove in to work so that i could take the arborist, Bill, down the ziplines to tower 4, where we'd been seeing some sawdust on the platform every morning. We spent twenty minutes or so examining the tree (an ash) and determined that it was not emerald ash borer, so that was good. When Bill was done, we zipped through zip 5, then walked down the rest of the way.

Someone had posted something about seeing my arms in one of my previoes selfies, so this was my response, taken in the Snow Stars room on my lunch break (the phone was propped up on a table).

Challenge course day. It wasn't very busy and i stayed until about 2 then got sent home, which suited me fine as my throat was getting sorer. Took this selfie on the top of the challenge course tower.

My latest book (actually written in 2009) The Clues to Kusachuma is officially released today.
I took today's selfie as a panoramic image. The Instagram version, which also posts to Twitter, was cropped, but i posted the Facebook version separately so that i could upload the entire panorama. Since the panoramas save as JPEGs, i wasn't able to adjust the light and dark sections as well.

It was raining all day and i stepped out of the door, keeping the phone under cover of the porch, to take today's selfie. I was hoping to get more rain on my face, but there's just the one drop near my right eyebrow.

I didn't want to take too many selfies with the same baseball cap on, so i grabbed this hat and went outside. I was planning to take a pic with my back against the garage door, but when i walked up to it and saw the reflection/inside-of-garage through the pane, i shot that.

Took the daily selfie before i got out of bed in the morning. A little blurry. I decided after that to try to get photos outside due to low-light issues.
That evening was super clear with lots of stars, so i set up the tripod and took some long-exposure shots.

I was told to come in at 10:30 but didn't realize that i'd be doing inspection. Chase and i did inspection then i led a tour of five with him. Went out to the challenge course after that, but they had enough people and it was slow so i went home. I took the daily selfie as i rode my unicycle back up to Resort Services.

I was originally supposed to be on Zip Team 2 but they cancelled that team, so i came in at 10:30 to work in the challenge course. It was just me and Adaline, but it wasn't very busy and we closed by 2:30. I had to do one lowering of a little girl on level one who didn't want to continue.
I had wanted to take a selfie on the mountain coaster the day before but there was a bunch of people waiting in line for it when i was going home, so on my lunch break today i took a ride and snapped a pic. I should have taken it from more to the side so that it would've been more obvious that i was zooming down the track.

Drove up to Warren to play ultimate. I stopped at the top of the Brandon Gap and took this selfie. I was hoping that i could get a nice vista in the background, but there wasn't a good overlook. It sorta looks like i'm driving but i was actually pulled over on the side of the road.

I wanted to get my smiley-face shirt in today's selfie. I don't remember why i decided to close my eyes, although it might have been because i was looking right up at the sun.

I drove over to the Signshop to drop off some files that i needed printed, then i drove all the way up to the top of Okemo Mountain on a foggy day. I climbed up the fire tower and took my daily selfie up at the top. After that little excursion, i drove down to Londonderry to meet up with another Moss Motoring Challenge participant for a points-photo. He drove his Miata up from Brattleboro. After that i stopped by Chrystal's house, but no one was around, so i returned home.

Went to the farm, then walked around East Wallingford to find a good spot to take a selfie. I took this one under a bridge and it was really blown out. I did some light editing of the pic within Instagram, but it was still pretty contrasty.

Drove down to Marlborough, MA and stopped at a Panera for dinner before checking into the hotel where us observers were staying. Jeff, my roommate, arrived later that evening. Took the selfie as i was eating a sandwich at Panera.

Selfie, midday, Frisbee Central, USAU New England Regionals, Rogers Field, Devens, MA. I observed the Colt vs. Blueprint game with Sam and the Wildcard vs. Slow White game with JF. We all went out to a Japanese hibachi place for dinner and it was okay but not great.

Took this selfie during halftime of the Grand Army vs. XIST game that i was observing with Wally. After that i observed the game-to-go to Nationals; Wild Card vs. Slow White again, with Ben, Sam, and Jonathan. Then i drove home. There was a brilliant near-full moon rising as i got out of the Shaw's in Ludlow.

I took today's selfie in front of a white screen in my house and this is the only selfie of the month that i rotated, so that the bit of ceiling wouldn't be in frame.

Went to the farm, then took a hike up to the overlook over White Rocks to see if there were more piles of rocks to take pictures of. I took today's selfie up there by placing the phone in the branch of a tree. The timer ran out before i was quite where i wanted to be so it caught me as i was moving into position, but i like how it came out.

I hadn't done a bathroom-selfie yet, so decided, as long as i was going to do that, i might as well be brushing my teeth. This was weird because i was holding the phone with my right hand to take the picture and trying to look normal brushing my teeth with my left, which i never do.

Worked in the challenge course. Had to do one guest-lowering from level three (which required a back-zip on zip 3). During lunch i filled out all of my paperwork to become an employee of Vail Resorts. I took the selfie du jour as i was driving home, and this time it was actually taken while i was speeding up the highway.

Went to the Vail orientation for a few hours, then had to jump in on a zip tour. Chase led a tour of 8—an American couple and a group of six from India, who were very chatty in what i guessed was Hindi.
Last #SelfieSeptember picture was taken as i lay down in my yard. My face looks fat.
