Shaun and i did inspection, then i did some rope maintenance and cutting for the guide harnesses. There was only one zip tor booked, so i was let go at 12:30. Jamie got in touch after i got home and we hiked down to Little Rock Pond.

I was scheduled to work in the challenge course, but Pat called in the morning to tell me that i wasn't needed. I used the day to install the new door in the upstairs back bedroom.

Drove down to Concord. I got there early, so walked to downtown Concord, ate lunch, then browsed the Concord Bookshop and bought some graphic novels. While waiting for registration to open, i sat in the library and read one of them.

Concord Academy reunion. I took a canoe ride and unicycled over to the Moriarty Athletic Campus in the morning, then spent the day with Damon.

Had a liesurely breakfast with classmates, then drove over to the Nicolson's house for a birthday lunch. Damon, Kate Pugh, Parkman Howe, and i hiked from their house over to the Concord Meadows and back, then i drove home.

Damon scooted in to town in the late afternoon and we checked out the Clarendon Gorge, then had pizza at Sal's in Wallingford.

It was a beautiful afternoon and i went walking around the neighborhood after dinner.

Employee party day. I went in for free breakfast, then had to punch out for an hour before doing zipline inspection. During that hour, Jay and i went out for a spin on the Segways, which i hadn't been on in a few years. I got to see Jay wipe out on a steep uphill by the railroad tracks. After that, Adeline and i did inspection, then had a tour of 8 followed by a tour of 6. On the first tour, one of the Sunapee zipline guides tripped the EAD on zip 5 and i had to go out and retrieve him. Other than that one, though, no other retrievals.
After we were done, at about 5:30, i headed down to the hotel in Marlborough, MA for the weekend. I arrived a few minutes after Shiellah and Sandra had gotten there and we hung out discussing observing plans for the Boston Invite the next day. I had a room to myself as there were 5 of us staying there (Chazzi and Ben were in the third room).

Boston Invite, day 1. I observed Bent / Hot Metal with Megan, then Lost Boys / Pesterbug with Ben. It rained a bit during the second round but it wasn't too bad. We all went out to an Indian restaurant for dinner and the service was comically slow. They'd bring out one meal, then ten minutes would pass before the next meal came out. Jonathan was done before Sandra got her dinner.

Boston Invite, day 2. I observed Dig / Big Wrench (men's final) with Chazzi, then Jonathan and i stayed for the last round women's final (Siege / Bent) while everyone else drove back to (mostly) Canada.

I was in the challenge course and there were about five guests all day.

Scheduled to be zipping today, but it was pouring rain in the morning and Okemo decided not to open for the day.

Got called to come in at 10:30 for an 11 o'clock tour. Led the tour with Keenan on sweep. Was about to leave in the afternoon when we realized that the ropes hadn't been pulled, so Sean and i went out and zipped down, pulling the ropes.

Liam was late getting in, so i started inspection with the help of Shaun, who took the ropes up on the 4-wheeler. Led one tour with Liam on sweep—a couple and a trio of teenage girls.
