Super hot. Shaun and i were supposed to do inspection but he was feeling sick so just hiked up to the top of Zip 6 and went back down. I did the rest by myself. I fixed some harness ropes for a while until the challenge course opened, worked out there, then led a 2-person zip tour with Liam on sweep. Worked in the challenge course for a while after that, then got sent home.

Still hot, but there was a bank of clouds over the mountain, so it felt a little cooler without the direct sunlight. Keenan and i did inspection at 7:30, then had an 8:30 tour with a mom, dad, and son. We went out to the challenge course after that tour, then got called back for a 10:30 tour of a couple. I led the first tour, Keenan led the second. I did some lunch shifts in the Adventure Zone—at the front end of the mountain coaster for the first time—then hung out in the challenge course until 2, when Keenan and i went up to pull the ropes on the ziplines.
For a few nights, i'd heard a cat meowing somewhere in my house. I finally managed to get it close enough, and then it became super friendly. But then it spent the night meowing loudly or standing on me in bed, casually clawing me. Didn't sleep much. It was nowhere to be found in the morning.

Cat showed up again and i threw it out. It meowed a few times outside, then went away. Never came back.

Inspection with Liam in the heat and humidity. By midday, it was dryer and cooler. I think we did a couple tours, each on lead.

Inspection was delayed due to thunder and rain. Two tours with Keenan, each on lead.

Inspection with Liam, then a staff meeting, then one tour of 8. Zach, one of the challenge course guides, came along and he set off the emergency arrest device on zip 6, so i got to do my first ever retrieval on that line. Then i did my first retrieval of the year on zip 7 when a not-great throw on my part combined with a less-than-stellar catch attempt on the guest's part. No afternoon tour for team 2 so after helping out in the challenge course for a bit, i got out on the early side.
That evening i went over to Evening Song Farm and took some pics while they were having a little concert on their lawn.

Inspection with Liam again. Three tours today, and i led them all. First one of 2 people, and we snuck ahead of the 8-person tour in front of us between zips 5 and 6, then another with 2 people, then a final tour of 7. Beautiful sunny day.

Went for a short bike ride. Also finished my fourth Stinkalope Tex book.

Inspection with Liam. Can't remember what else. This mighta been the day i spent in the challenge course fixing the cable on course 2.

Inspection with Liam, then i tagged along on a Segway tour with Jay and two guests (mom and daughter) before leading a zip tour with the same two guests plus a sister. After that i led an afternoon tour of 7. During my lunch break a couple of members of the Moss Motoring Challenge stopped by and we got a picture of us together for some points. Woke up feeling sick and almost called in, but figured that i'd better be there to do inspection, and maybe i could bail out after that. Got to work to discover that Shaun was sick as well and Chris was there to do inspection with me. Sam texted Liam to come in and he led the 9 o'clock tour of 5 people with me on sweep. I was pretty woozy after that and went home to spend the day on the couch, partly watching games from the WFDF World Ultimate Club Championships.

In the challenge course all day, but got called out to do a zip tour, then pulled ropes with Patrick after closing up the challenge course.
My cheese is not amused.

Scheduled to zip, but zipline and challenge course were closed due to rain/wind/lightning.

Worked in the challenge course until 1:30, then came home to meet with someone about fixing my rotting garage door.

Drove down to where Don and Sharon and their kids were staying. We all went on a short hike to a roaring waterfall (Raymondskill Falls).

Hiked around a tiny ski area with Don, then drove to Shunk. Right when i arrived at the lake, Mommy was taking Daddy to the hospital, as he was feeling weak and had stomach pains.

Don and his family arrived midday and Don and i went to visit Mary at her new house.

Don's family left and Paul and Casey left. Mommy went to visit the hospital and i did some tractoring work.

Picked some blueberries, but not enough to make any jam.

Drove to Vermont. I stopped by the Sayre hospital to see Daddy, who was feeling better. I also stopped at Earthworld Comics in Albany and bought some comics and graphic novels.
