Seera likes to follow me out on logs. This log for a long time was stuck on the upstream side of the Lake Street bridge, then after a big flood it got wedged on the downstream side.

Started practicing ultimate with Stonecutters.

I took a cab down to Midway Airport and flew on ATA to Denver. ATA has the WORST orange juice on the entire planet. On the automatic Shuttle in the Denver airport i rode in the front car and snapped this pic. I rented a tiny little Kia, stuck my snowboard bag in the passenger seat, and drove up to Silverthorne.

I got up, drove up to Arapahoe Basin and snowboarded (OK, slushboarded) for a few hours, then came back to the hotel, soaked in the hot tub, took a swim, had some dinner, walked around town taking pictures, and went to see The Matrix - Reloaded, probably not in that order.

I got up and snowboarded at A-Basin in the morning, made it back to the hotel by noon, showered and checked out. I bought some lunch at Subway (i really don't like patronizing Subway, but sometimes when you want a sandwich and there aren't any better choices...), thendrove up past A-Basin and over the continental divide.

I came down the east side of the divide, wound around back roads heading north and crossed back to the west side of the divide, then eventually made it to Rocky Mountain National Park and drove through it, crossing over the divide one more time to the east side. Finally i arrived at Sylvandale Ranch between Estes Park and Loveland, where the rest of my family was gathering for a family reunion.

I spent the day by going on a trail ride (first time ever on a horse!), playing horseshoes, going for a hay-ride, then going out to round up a herd of cattle. That was pretty cool.

We took a bunch of family pictures today, then i packed up and drove back down to the Denver Airport. I was supposed to return the rental car with the gas tank empty and as i was driving down the access road to the airport the fuel light came on. Perfect.

I touched down in Chicago (ATA orange juice still bites), cabbed it home, and packed up my truck.

The dogs and i hit the road and drove from Chicago to Shunk.

After an overnight at the lake, i drove through miserable weather and traffic to Concord, MA. It took 4 hours to get from the Hudson river to Hartford, but after Hartford the roads suddenly became uncongested. I arrived at C.A. in time to get some dinner at my 20th high school reunion. We stayed late and then i drove out to Littleton and stayed the night at Edna & Greg's house.

I brought my dogs over to C.A. and let them run around a bit but had to keep them tied up a lot so they wouldn't bump any little kids over. Our class won the party, staying in the Stu-Fac until 1:00 AM. (I let the dogs in after midnight.)

After giving away or selling my artwork from the alumni art show, i went over to Weir Meadow and had lunch with some Kolms. That's CJ and her daughter Amadea (making the face) and Edna's daughter Francesca.

On Monday i drove down to Providence and dropped in (unexpectedly) on Patrick at the scooter shop. We scooted over
to a great sandwich shop (my first time on a scooter!) and had lunch, then Patrick wanted some pictures of him wheelieing,
so i took a bunch of pics in the late afternoon sun while the dogs watched.

Drove back up to Littleton that night.

Drove up to visit Cornelia in Chelsea, VT.

Stayed overnight at CJ's, then drove from Chelsea to Shunk.

Drove from Shunk down to Middleburg, VA and stayed with Aeron Mack Hynes. I called Don and Aeron and i met him at his house then went out for dinner.

Don and his fiancee Tamara and his and her kids and Aeron and her son and i all went out to Aeron's dad's place and looked at the horses.
I left that afternoon and drove through West Virginia eventually to a rest stop in Ohio, where i spent the night.

Drove on back to Chicago.

When i got back to work there was a new girl there named Megan who had started working there right after i left for vacation...

...I took a picture of her a couple days later.

It's a little hard to tell, but Seera is about 20 feet off the ground in this picture. There was a big fallen tree leaning up against another tree and i climbed up it and Seera followed me right up, then even went past me further up!
