I'd bought a lot of Imation CD-Rs and they were having this "Imation Points" promotion where you could collect points and get free stuff. I got a free CD today: Moby - "Play". Not as great as i expected.

I was walking with the dogs along the Des Plaines River and the river was frozen enough that i could walk on the ice near the edge. Seera was trotting along with me, but then got thirsty and headed out to where she saw some water, this being the middle of the not-quite-all-the-way-frozen river. I called to her to stop and come back but just as i said it, she broke through the ice! She struggled for a few seconds trying to get a purchase on the ice with her front paws. I started taking off my camera, jacket, and gloves in preparation to get out there and save her if i had to, but as i was doing this, she dug her claws in mightily and managed to pull herself out! She trotted over to the bank, shook herself off, then rolled in the snow. No damage done, but kinda scary for a minute or so. The above picture is where she broke through.

I bought Sixpence None The Richer's newest CD "Divine Discontent" today. Very good, with a nice cover of "Don't Dream It's Over".

I met a woman through Match.com and we met for dinner at a little restaurant on Western Ave. that she liked. It turned out to be closed for a private party, so we went across the street to a Cuban place which was pretty good. After that we went to see "The Life Of David Gale", which was ehhhh... She drove home and i hopped on the L back home and we didn't really see each other after that.
