I had worked my 40 hours by the end of Thursday, so i slept in a little, loaded up the dogs, and drove down to Shunk.

Cleaned up, brought the boats in, readied the house for winter.

Took a last kayak ride, loaded up the truck with wood, drove back to VT.

Walked the dogs in the big field above the tracks, then left them alone and drove down to Greg & Edna's in Littleton.

My tree is the most colorful one on the block.

Vic and i were onhand for observing duties at New England Ultimate Regionals, but we ended up not observing any games. Fortunately, it was a nice day.

Another gorgeous day. This time i worked all 4 rounds and used every available observer i had. It went pretty well, although PONY (Pride of New York) pitched a fit about not having observers in one of their games. We managed to cover the second half. Then i think they asked for a THIRD observer on their last game. Geez.

Since i was pretty wiped out, i did an easy game in the last round; Women's 4th-place game-to-go. Not many calls. Drove home and made it back to happy dogs and a not-too-late bedtime.

Explored some trails out at the end of Lottery Road in Shrewsbury,

Drove around to the end of a dirt road off of Route 10 and mapped out some trails from the South end. I drove back around to the East through Weston.

Hiked further South from the end of beaver Meadow Road until i came to an old house in the middle of the woods.

First snowfall today. Nothing stuck.

Another long hike all the way around to the house i'd hiked out to the previous weekend. This time i ran into the owners of the house who were out getting water from the spring near the house. The family has owned the place and 100 acres of land there since the late 1800s. The Green Mountain National Forest slowly surrounded it.

Second snowfall. Stuck.

Went to a little gathering around a campfire at Mark Fiori's in Ludlow. Talked with Dan and Wendy and Betsy. Stayed up late.
