My parents arrive from PA for a visit.

I worked a half-day at the signshop, then my parents and i went out to see WALL-E at the Rutland Theater. Fantastic.

Worked half-day again, then Daddy and i went to see Get Smart.

After the movie, we drove over to the fields so that i could play ultimate. Mommy arrived with the dogs (thank you!) and they watched as i played.

Had breakfast at Over Easy's in Cuttingsville, then the 'rents departed and i went to work.

LONG Hike up to the top of Little Killington Peak from the South.

Jason and Abby came for a visit from Brant Lake. We had lunch at Over Easy's, then took a walk along the railroad tracks with the dogs.

Hiked up an offshoot from the Homer Stone brook Trail, but had to stop before it dwindled out completely due to the fact the the old road was now a sea of stinging nettles.

Drove down to Shunk.

That afternoon i left the pups with their grandparents and drove down to Philadelphia. Somewhere along I-80 there was a pop and suddenly a bunch of water and antifreeze came spewing out from under the hood. Fortunately i was 1 mile from a rest stop so i eased in and sat there for about half-an-hour cooling down the engine with water from the rest stop bathroom.

I drove gingerly down to Philly and hosed off the radiator when i got to my parents house.

I topped off the radiator in the morning and drove carefully down to Wildwood, NJ for the Wildwood Beach Ultimate tournament, keeping an eye on the temperature gauge the whole way.

Our team was me, Sarah, Jake, Tim, Cal, Zeb, Meadow, Nick, and Eugene. We were in the 2/2 noncompetitive bracket, so Sarah and Meadow, being our only two girls, had to play most of every game, which they did very admirably.

After the games, we went to the same campground as the year before and i managed to drive in to the campsite without paying and i parked behind Tim's car. A bunch of us went swimming in the man-made lake and while i was sitting in the shallows, i noticed that there were three little fish right in front of me. Then one of them darted forward and bit me on the chest! Ow!

After the swim, i changed into dry clothes and discovered that $400, which had been in the pocket of my shorts, was missing. Put a damper on the whole weekend.

Drove back over to the beach and parked in the exact same spot as the day before.

Filled up the radiator again, stopped by the hardware store, then drove slowly all the way back to Shunk.

Dropped off my truck at Scott Quail's to get fixed.

I drove down to Canton to go to the bank so that i could get money to pay for my truck. On the way, i drove over to the gas station in Leroy where i'd stopped on the way down from VT the week before. I walked in and said that i'd been there and paid for gas with a $100 bill and i might've dropped some other bills and had anyone found anything. The woman behind the counter looked outside at my car (i was driving my mother's Camry) and asked what i'd been driving. I said a red Isuzu Trooper. Then she asked "What did you have with you?" I wasn't quite sure what she meant, so i answered "um, two dogs?". She reached behind the register and handed me an envelope with all $400 in it. Wow. Made my week.
