Finished the board game pieces that i’ve been working on.

Only picture i took today. This was the last day of summer work and the challenge course closed early enough that i was able to drive up to Warren to play ultimate (instead of packing).

Packed, picked up veggies at the farm, then drove down to Shunk, where my friend Don was already waiting, having arrived the night before.

Hiking, paddling, fishing, beautiful sunset.

Don and i cut up a tree that had fallen across the path, then i barged the logs back in the canoe. That afternoon, Don, Sharon, and i drove down to the Rock Run bridge, then on to Band Rock Vista where we just caught the tail end of the sunset.

Don and i did some tree trimming with the new pole saw, then more fishing.

I started unboxing all of the books that came up from Mommy and Daddy’s house.

There was a leaf on top of the skylight. Star arrived for a visit.

With Star minding the dogs, i drove down to Foulkeways and had dinner and a game of Scrabble with Daddy. I was put up in the Foulkeways guest house, which was nice.

I videoed daddy for a little bit, then drove back to Shunk.

When Don and Sharon and i had hiked out to Band Rock Vista, i set my water bottle down and i forgot about it. Today i drove back up there, stopping at the Upper Falls along Rock Run, to see if it was still there, a week later. It was not. I drove home via Canton and bought four apple trees, which i planted at the end of the Y.

I replaced the water dispenser in the kitchen sink.

While i was eating breakfast, the dogs started barking at something off in the woods, not too far past the garbage dump. I walked out there and found that they’d treed a fisher, which was adorably cute. I brought them inside for a while and the fisher scampered off. That afternoon i drove down to the Lowe’s in Montoursville, stopping at Sharp Top on the way down. I bought four shades for the hallway windows, but they were out of mounting hardware, rrrgh.

I was going through Mommy’s rock collection and there was an odd rock in a plastic bag with a label that said Pyrite, but it did not look like pyrite. I took a picture and posted it to Reddit: This post is my most-engaged-with thing ever on the interenet, garnering 3.3 thousand upvotes and 1.6 million views!

I was sitting on Mommy’s bench when a huge bald eagle took off from a tree right near me and swooped down over the lake, sailing to another tree on the other side. I didn’t get a good pic.

When i drove to Shunk today i noticed that the “Private Road” sign had been knocked to the ground. I picked it up, cleaned it, and reattached it to the post. That night i had dinner (take-out Mexican) with Emily at the other house. Bulo hopped up on the window ledge.

I replaced two rotted boards on two bridges.

I took four pictures today. Here they are. In the afternoon, i shut off the water and drained out the house. That night i slept in my sleeping bag on the couch, having cleaned out the bedrooms.

Frosty morning—had to scrape ice off my windshield. Took a walk around the lake, then drove back to Vermont. Somewhere along I-88, Koey barfed up all of her breakfast.

I stopped at the Crossgates Mall in Albany and got some Legos and a new AppleTV, which is pretty cool.
