Drove around to VT Route 11 and up a National Forest road, then off into the woods and marshes. Seera was standing on her hind legs for a few seconds, looking over the tall grass.

I left work early and started my one-week vacation by driving down to the Albany airport to pick up Charlie. We stopped at a burger place along NY route 7 for dinner. The grand opening of the Okemo disc golf course was going on that evening and i was asked to be there (since i designed the course), but i didn't really want to be there and the fact that i was off picking up Charlie was a good excuse not to be.

Charlie and i drove to Hanover, NH for the White Mountain Mixed ultimate tournament. We played 4 games and lost them all, had pizza at the fields, then drove home.

Drove back to Hanover for day 2 of the tournament. We played 3 games (in the losers bracket) and won them all, which was fun. Afterwards, Charlie and i made a spaghetti dinner and one carload of our teammates (Wheaton, Sarah, Sara, Jesse, and Eugene) came over to eat and hang out.
Beat UFX Nekud 13-6
Beat Spice 13-5
Beat Hellgate 13-4

Charlie, Sarah, Wheaton, Jake, and i drove over to Okemo to play a round of disc golf. I wanted to stick around and play ultimate in the evening, but Charlie was eager to get on the road, so we loaded up and drove down to Shunk.
We went through a torrential rainstorm coming into Binghamton, then stopped at a Wegman's supermarket to get some breads for the folks in Shunk. We also had some delicious sandwiches for dinner.
I had meant to get gas when we stopped for food, but i completely forgot and as i was about to drive by the exit for Towanda on US 220 i noticed that my gas guage was solidly on empty and the little fuel light was on. Eek! Pulled off, made it to a gas station, and put 20.1 gallons into what i thought was a 20 gallon tank.

There was dew all over these multitudes of spiderwebs in the woods this morning. I never realized how many webs were all over the forest floor. I got some good pictures of this big spiderweb with beads of dew all over it. The third picture is a zoomed-in section of the second pic.

Not very many blueberries this year.

Headed back to VT in the morning. It was a nice drive because it was the first trip in a long time that i had a working CD player in my car for the entire trip.

Took the dogs out for a round of golf. That evening Jen and i went to see Inglorious Basterds. I ran into Sarah and Nora outside the theater as we were coming out and they were going in. Jen and i had pizza at Ramunto's, then sat in my driveway talking for about an hour. Went to bed late.

I didn't take any pictures today so just before i went to bed i snapped some pics of some wind-up toys.

Hiked out in the woods and it was dark and gloomy. I was sitting on a log for a while playing around with flash pictures.
|
Took a walk in the cow pasture and there were some geese there, which Seera chased off.
|
Set the camera down on my wood pile and took some pics of the moon and clouds.
