Hiked along the Mill River. |
Drove over to Hanover, NH to be an Observer for ultimate College Regionals. Observed every round. Vic locked his keys in his car and i happened to be the one operating the coat hanger and got the unlock button to unlock the doors. Took the above picture on Route 103 on the drive home. |
Back to Hanover. Observed all rounds again, although in the last round (game to go - Williams beat Middlebury 13-12 at the hard cap) i was just a line judge. |
Things are blooming. |
The floor of the playroom, AKA the horse stable, AKA where the dogs lie. |
Drove over to Green Mountain College to play ultimate after work. Stopped by a pond on the way home and took some pics. |
I think something's in focus in this picture, but i don't know what. This is the Gerber vinyl-cutting machine at work. |
Leaves in mud along a VAST trail. |
These old roads get worn into the earth and fill up with water and become little ponds. |
Long hike down from Lottery Road to the AT/LT shelter and then all the way down to Route 103, then all the way back up again. I submitted the picture of the saw, which was hanging in the shelter, to iStockPhoto.com and they accepted it. |
East Wallingford from the cemetary overlooking the Mill River. |
I got up and drove down to New York City. Smooth easy drive until i exited the expressway onto Canal Street. Then it took about half an hour to get over to Charlie's dorm on Lafayette St. I found a parking spot a couple blocks away and called Charlie from a pay phone. I moved the car over to the street next to his dorm and we loaded everything in, then we left it parked there and walked a few blocks over to a great little mexican street cafe and had lunch. When we got back i was just getting a parking ticket. Oh well. I left Charlie to catch his flight back to NM and found my way easily to the Holland Tunnel and drove west to Shunk, where i unloaded all of Charlie's stuff into the barn. |
Very weird to be at the lake without the dogs there. I kept thinking that they were just outside. I loaded up with a truckful of pallet mill scraps and drove back to Vermont. |
The Roland vinyl printer at work. This pic is intentionally blurry as i took it when the print head was sliding by. |
Today was "Green Up Day" at Okemo, which means that everyone spends a couple hours walking around the grounds picking up trash. The signshop folks walked down to the base area from the Sugar House, then to the top of the A/B Quads and back to the Sugar House. I was surprised to see snow still in the halfpipe. After work i took the dogs for a short outing by Fowler Brook. |
This picture is blurry, but it was the best of the 3 pics i took. I think i was feeling sick and didn't go outside all day. |

Teco in a field on the VAST trail. |

Aaron and i applied some vinyl lettering to a bus today. After work i took my trash to the transfer station and then walked along the Otter Creek, where i was please to discover that a bridge is being built from the Wallingford rec fields across the creek. |
|
Hiked up to a nice vista, where there was a picnic table and a near-360 degree view. |
Hiked south on the AT/LT from Route 140 to the Bully Brook. |
Sometimes dogs just move too quickly for the camera. |
Explored further north of Lottery Road and came to a 4-way intersection of paths in the middle of the woods where there was this street sign. |
Went over to the golf course during work to take pictures of it and of the restaurant there, since we didn't have many good shots. Took some pics at Jackson Gore while i was out. |
Puddles behind the Success School in Rutland where we play ultimate. |
Broken chair sitting behind the SSB. |
Rainy day, but it stopped by the time ultimate practice rolled around. |
Found my way to the same 4-way intersection, this time from the north. |
Explored more paths in the same area. |
