I caught a ride from ultimate practice at Washington Park back up to the loop and took some pictures near Buckingham Fountain before heading home on the L.

I went over to visit my friends Cara and Jason and took some pictures in Warren Park near their place. We went out there to walk their dog Sage. I wish i could take my dogs on the L, but unfortunately they're not helper dogs like this one.

August 10th was the summer league final tournament out at the huge expanses of the Naperville Polo Grounds. I don't remember how we did, but it probably wasn't great. Still fun though.

The next day i went down to ultimate practice and had a really long wait for the green line because they were rerouting it because of construction on the tracks in the loop. So i took pictures of buildings while i waited. This is Gwen and her puppy, who's name i can't remember.

Evidently, when i wasn't out taking pictures of squirrels, i worked 1.5 hours on the Baxter Fusion project at work yesterday.

On the 16th Doug Tello brought his sister Natalie in to the office with him and Natalie brought her dog Honey. Natalie and Honey just hung around for an hour while Doug talked with Wendy in her office.

The next day i drove up to the Milwaukee Cooler tournament, where i played with the coed team Kaze. This picture was taken just after a very long and horrendously played point. That's Leo and Katie. I slept in my truck that night at the campgrounds where the party for the tournament was, and played around with long exposure times and a flashlight.

The next morning i got up and drove by the lake that the campground was near, then got to the fields early and took some pictures. Play was delayed that day because the polo grounds wanted to have three planes land there just before their weekly polo match on the far end of the fields.

Blue line. I hopped on a Cermak/54th train and hopped off on the first outdoor station to wait for a Forest Park train.

Walked along Marion street mall. Having nothing but the same territory to cover day in and day out makes you try to dig up things you didn't look at the first 200 times you walked by...

It started raining really hard about halfway to work, so i ducked under the cover of a school building and took pictures of the playground. Bought more stuff for my garage that evening at Home Depot.

I think by this point i'd stopped going to the Y in the morning. They had closed the pool for 2 weeks to repaint it, and my summer membership was about to expire anyway.

Down to ultimate practice at Washington Park. I had been cut from Kaze by this time so i was playing with Union Crew.

Out to the woods on Sunday morning. All the rain had left things pretty flooded. I ran up to the tracks to take a picture of this oncoming train, but the camera didn't focus on it because it was moving. Made it sort of impressionistic.

Only 4 pictures on the 26th. I had a blind date that day (set up by my friend Anastasia) and we went walking in the woods, got eaten by mosquitos, then had dinner at Flat Top Grill.

Today was the now standard few shots during lunch break, some shots on my way home, and then the usual "did i get any good pictures today? I'd better take some more" at home that evening.

Probably the overriding theme of all of my pictures this year, if you can find one, would be something like "man's intrusion into nature." I like to take pictures of natural things, like water, but i also like having some piece of metal stuck into the picture.
