And welcome to December, and another day out in Thatcher woods. (Out in?) There's a pond out there that was frozen except for one small hole in the middle where some ducks were hanging out. They let me get pretty close to 'em.

On the 19th i got up early and took a cab down to Midway Airport, where i caught a plane to St. Louis. Then i caught another plane to Albuquerque where i showed up at my sister Caroline's office.

The next morning i got up, picked up my nephew Charlie, and we drove up to Santa e Ski Area for a day on the slopes. Charlie skied, i snowboarded.

On the 21st i took some pictures around my brother Ian's apartment building, then joined him on an errand over to the UNM campus. I stopped in to visit my friend Travis at his work, and home (that's his dog Barney and his friend Lauren), then we went over to Craig's solstice/birthday party where there was a bonfire.

The next day i met up with Debo and we went for a walk along the bosque with her dog. That afternoon, Ian and i went for a walk around downtown Albuquerque, then that evening i drove out to the airport to pick up Nina and Mark.

Charlie and Thomas came down to Ian's apartment, where i was staying, to visit. That night, after dinner at Caroline's, we drove by some holiday lights, then when we got back to Ian's place, we played a game of Scrabble with Ian's Scrabble set which is missing the Q.

On the 24th, i walked over to Old Town and dropped in on my friends Marc and Debi at their office. This is their office dog. I stopped by the Natural History Museum, where i used to occasionally work, but no one on the exhibits staff was there. That night we all crammed into Ian's car and went out looking at the Christmas lights.

Christmas. I got up and drove up to Caroline's house. Charlie and Thomas got an air-powered rocket which we took over to the school grounds to fire. I gave myself a Christmas present of a CD: The Blind Boys of Alabama - "Spirit Of The Century".

On the 26th i went to visit Chuck at his home/music studio. We had lunch, then i dropped in on the exhibit staff at the museum. This windmill is in the museum parking lot. We all went out for dinner that night.

The next day i dropped off Nina and Mark at the airport, stopped by Old Town again, visited Travis at work again, then hopped on a plane headed north east, back to Midway Airport.

I took my wonderful pups out to the woods. We'd been apart for a week for the second time that year. My friend Rob came over to visit them every day while i was in NM.

I went dog-walking in the woods, which is how i started this whole project. After almost 5700 pictures, is the quality better? Do i still take pictures of the same subjects? I don't know, but it was a good exercise. I went in to the office later that day.
