Skipped disc golf league night. It had been POURING rain in the afternoon and i bailed out of going, then the evening turned out to be fairly pleasant and not-rainy. Oh well.

New Camera. It came with a wifi card that'll let me preview from my iPhone, but the card beeps every time the camera is turned on, so i took the card out. Nice to have a real camera again.

Mommy and Daddy and my niece Masha came for an overnight on the way to taking Masha to summer school at Exeter.

Went to Merchants Bank and did the closing for my mortgage refinance. Went in to work a bit on a video for Okemo's Adventure Zone. Went to disc golf league night and it started drizzing on hole 11, then pretty steady rain from 14 through 18. A bit wet, but shot a 4 over and kept my #7 tag.

On my way back from ultimate i stopped to get gas. On the way oit of the parking lot, i was cutting a corner and ran right into what i thought was one of those cement posts. I couldn't see anything due to the size of my hood and the fact that it was a downhill exit. I pulled back off of what i hit and got out to look. Turns out it was a big rock and the extent of the damage was pretty much just some scraping on the bumper and the towing hook. Phew! But it was the first scuff on the new truck.

Went over to Okemo Valley Golf Club today and shot some pictures of people eating on the patio. Brief pouring rain storm on my drive home (skipped disc golf).

My friend Will Dewey called me up late in the afternoon on his drive up to his place in Cornish, NH. We agreed to meet at the Jackson Gore Music Series and had some food and chatted. The Rutland band Satin & Steel was playing 70s cover songs.

Drove down to Shunk. Dinged the paint on the edge of my driver's door in the parking lot of the Wegman's in Binghamton (parked a little close to the cart-return rails). Rrgh.

Drove down to Philly (EVERY route that i was on had detours and/or construction) and had dinner at McNally's with Russ.

Woke up to discover that the internet at Mommy & Daddy's house wasn't working and also i couldn't find my clipboard with my observer sheets on it. I drove over to a Staples, but it wasn't open. I was able to use their wifi though and look up other office supply stores. Drove back to the house, then over to the Staples in Chestnut Hill and got what i needed, then i packed up and drove through rush hour traffic down to The Parking Spot and eventually to the airport. My flight was scheduled to leave at 11:45 AM and President Obabma's plane was scheduled to land at noon, so i was hoping that i didn't get delayed, and fortunately we got out fine, but then my next flight from Charlotte to Tampa was delayed.

I got in to Tampa and got a text from Rusty, another observer, wondering where i was. Got my bag, met up with him, Keith, and Shannon, and we drove down to the hotel in Sarasota where Rusty and i discovered that we were roommates.

Not super hot, but very muggy and calm at the polo fields for Masters/Grand Masters Nationals. I observed three games with Rusty with no major issues (Tejas vs. Raw, Yeehaw vs. Restless, and Shadows vs. Old line). A bunch of us hit the pool at the hotel after the games, then all the observers went to dinner that night at Yoders.

Observed three games with Ben. The first game (Black Cans vs. Ohiold) went down to the last point. Ohiold was down 11-12 when the hard cap horn sounded. They got a layout Callahan to tie it at 12s. The last point had 6 turnovers, 3 on layout blocks, and Ohiold, after trailing the entire game, threw a half-field huck to win 13-12.

We observed Ripe vs. Cougars, then were scheduled to observe Surly GM vs. Georgetown Brewing but they refused us, so we went over to observe Tejas vs. Reckon where i upheld a defensive foul call in the end zone at 12-9, much to Reckon's disagreements and complaining (for which i finally had to issue a TMF). This let Tejas retain possesion at the goal line and they scored to win the game 13-9. 3 or 4 Reckon players spant 5 minutes or more arguing with Ben and me about that call, but we stuck to it. One of the Tejas players came over to us after that and told us that he thought that we'd made the right call. We thought so, but it's still weird to get so many people mad at you.

That evening was the tournament buffet on the beach. We ate, then walked a couple miles up to a bar in Siesta Key, then eventually made it back to the hotel.

Ben, Rusty, Brian, and i observed the women's semifinal, then Brian and i observed the women's final between Ripe and Loose Cannon. Another good close game, with Loose Cannon winning 12-11.

After the award ceremonies, we went back to the hotel, showered, then headed back up to Tampa. It rained for the first time that weekend just as we were heading up the highway out of Sarasota. All 4 of us had flights out of gates 84 and 86, so we had dinner at Chili's then hung out in the terminal. Rusty left first, then Shannon and Keith, and i was out last. I saw thunderstorms off in the distance from the plane as we flew to Charlotte, then my next flight was delayed and i didn't get into Philly until about 2:30 or so. Got back to Mommy & Daddy's house near 3:30.

Got up late, packed the truck back up, and drove back up to Shunk. Drove by the High Knob vista, where i hadn't been in a while. Took some pics with the new camera at night to see how it did.

Paul, Casey, and i rode bikes up to Wheelerville and checked out the gas drilling pad which has been created on the top piece of our property. Seera tagged along for the whole trip, which was impressive. I slowed down on the last stretch down the grade so that she wouldn't fall too far behind.

Went over to Bobby Bond's house that afternoon to look for Paul's dog Lakota, who had run off on Saturday night. Didn't find him.

Rebuilt the structure of bridge #10, then nailed the old deck board back on. Went on a bike ride that afternoon and saw a deer, who crossed the grade ahead of me, but then just stood in the woods for a while.

I set up my GoPro camera on the roof of the garage and filmed the crew putting up the tents for Lindley & Zeke's wedding.

I went over to the Ladd's in the morning and hung out with them for a while, then got back to the lake for Lindley and Zeke's wedding. Beautiful wedding. Karen and i got to go out in the paddleboat and set out the floating lanterns for Lindley and Zeke's exit via canoe. Karen stayed and danced until about midnight while i hung out with Daniel and watched Charlie DJing. Karen, Daniel, and i walked back up to the other house and i drove Karen home to the Ladd's house.

Last morning in Shunk. One last walk around the lake, then drove home, listening to "scan" on the car radio most of the way.

Back to work.

Dropped my Mini off at Japanese Auto in the morning and caught the bus back home.

Disc golf league night. Shot a +3 and got the #8 tag.
