Sarah dropped Sasha off at my house for the day. She pooped on two different rugs within 20 minutes of being there. I took both dogs out for a walk down Wallingford Pond road in the middle of the day and Sasha tried dilligently to play with Seera and Seera sortof complied, but not really. They both found a deer carcass and probably got a few bites before i got them away from it. I assume this because when we got back to the house, Sasha barfed all over the floor, seeping down between the old floorboards, mmmm... That evening was the Ski + Ride School end of season party, which was kinda nice. My video went over fine and i sold some of my books to some people there. |
Went snowboarding and rode the halfpipe a whole buncha times with Chris Carter. Sorta had the feeling that this might be my last day of the season (which sortof turned out to be true, as i was sick on closing weekend). When i got home, Seera and i walked down the tracks to the bridge over Rt. 103. Finally a nice day out, although still a bit chilly. |
Got the Mini out now that the snow in the driveway has finally melted away. |
Took the Mini out for a spin up to the new farm fields and talked with Kara and Ryan for a while. When i got back, my Pentax camera was waiting for me, freshly delivered via FedEx from being repaired again. Ahhhh... real camera... That night i woke up at about 2:30, wide awake, unable to sleep. I realized that there was a lunar eclipse happening so i put the camera on a tripod and went outside. It's was eclipsing behind those clouds, but a half-hour of waiting only resulted in more clouds. Oh well. |
Yet more snow. Sasha spent the day in the signshop again and i took her over to the challenge course for a walk at lunch. |
Today's morning temperature was 17. It's April. Enough already. |
Seera spent the day in the signshop again and i also took her over to the challenge course for a walk at lunch. |
Drove the Mini over to the Rutland Farmers Market, where i talked with Kara and Josh and Ally for a while each. Bought some lettuce and cheese and jam and an eclair and a blueberry turnover. Then i drove the back way down to Wallingford and got some sliced turkey at the Wallingford Locker. The Mini performed well on pavement and dirt. I still think that it runs hotter now than it used to, but it's not overheating. |
Very last day of snowboarding. I hiked up to the top of Sel's Choice, rode the bumps, then made my way through the horribly pitted and half-melted halfpipe. Tiring, but a good last day. Seera wasn't as fast following me down the hill as she once was. |
