Seera and i hopped in the Mini and went for a drive. West to Tinmouth, south to Danby, Dorset, then into Manchester Center, where the hubbub of a Saturday in summer was hubbubbing. I went into Northshire Bookstore and left them copies of each of my books in hopes that they might decide to carry them. After that i parked by a trailhead and hiked for a while, then looped back around through Londonderry and Weston and on home.

I was going to drive over to the Weathersfield Trail on Mt. Ascutney, but changed my mind and stopped at the Healdville Trail on the backside of Okemo Mountain. Nice hike.

Drove the Mini up onto the disc golf course to fix one of the tee signs. Later that day i did a photoshoot for Coleman Brook Tavern. They needed a picture for the winter Okemo Magazine.

Got out of work, drove home, picked up Seera, drove down to Shunk.

Drizzly rainy day at the lake. I went out and picked blueberries, slipped and fell and lost about 2/3 of what i'd picked, but then kept picking and got enough to make a batch of blueberry jam.

A much more beautiful day. I went out to pick blackberries up on Cherry Hill Road and left instructions taped to the door as to where i was. After an hour or so, Don and his two kids Ethan and Dylan shoed up, then soon after that Karen and her dog Darby arrived. I finished picking and we all went back for some lunch. Karen departed for Philly after lunch and i made a batch of blackberry jelly. Don's girlfriend Cara arrived that night.

Another gorgeous day of hiking and doing some brush-hogging. I let Ethan drive the tractor which thrilled him a bit. Don and i were chasing a beaver around the lake that evening. My parents arrived from Philly that evening.

Yet another beautiful day of hiking and berry picking. I shot some pictures of the stars from the dock that night. The camera's sensor picked up a lot more than what my eyes could see. The whiter glow over the trees on the first shot is actually the light from a gas drilling platform.

Don and his family left in the morning, i took one more walk up the lake path, then left just after lunch.
