This is a picture of a piece of tape on the wall in the Snow Stars lobby at Jackson Gore. |
On my morning walk i discovered that the US Forest Service is doing a bunch of logging. |

I got home from work today and texted my sister to see if i should drive down to Philly, since my mother was in hospice care. About half an hour after i sent that text, she let all of the family know that my mother died. |

Hiked up to Wallingford Pond from the end of Wallingford Pond Road in the morning. I was contacted by a homeowner who gets their vegetables from Evening Song Farm. He wanted some drone pictures of his property, so i went over to his place today and flew the drone around for a while, taking pictures. Nice looking moon and general night vibe on my way home from ultimate in the evening, so got out and took some pics of the moon (nothing great) and the Mini. |
Hiked up to the other end of Wallingford Pond from the end of Kent Farm Road. |

After shooting pictures at the farm, i saw some railroad machinery parked by the tracks and stopped to take some pictures. After i did that, i decided that i should go through all of my photos and find every (mostly) picture i’d taken of the Green Mountain Railroad and post them on my photo site. |

Drove down to Philly. There was a truck with an old Farmhall trailer on it where i’d stopped to let Bulo run around for a bit. |
I was staying at my parents’ apartment while we were all making arrangements for my mother’s memorial service that Saturday. I tried to take Bulo out to the many nature trails in the area every day. Today we went to the Trewaryn Farm Trails just down the road from Foulkeways. |
Exploring the Green Ribbon Trail which runs along the Wissahickon Creek. |
Back to the Trewaryn Farm Trails. |
And back to the Green Ribbon Trail. |
I felt a little under-informed but managed to get a file that could be displayed at Mommy’s memorial service. Lots of family there—tiring day. The service was in the afternoon, so i was able to get Bulo out along the Green Ribbon Trail in the morning. |
Drove over to Elkins Park in the morning where i met up with Russell and played a pretty good game of pickup ultimate. Bulo had to stay tied up the whole time, though, since it was a busy public park. |
More Green Ribbon Trail exploring. |
Drove down into Philly and hiked along the Wissahickon, then visited at the hardware store. Pictures are from under the Walnut Lane bridge. |
Drove home. On US-7 in Vermont, a small deer came across the road and i slammed on the brakes and swerved, but still hit it. It wasn’t a very hard hit—the deer ran off—but it broke the plastic parts of my bumper. The underlying metal was undamaged. Since i already had an apointment at the Toyota place the next week, i called them up and had them order the new parts. |

Hiked along the AT/LT from Lottery Road. |
