The final game was very exciting, Northeastern winning 15-14 on a huck to my friends Paul and Kristin's son Ben Field. |
#NaNoWriMo Day 15: 1,562 Walked Bulo through the woods near Nina's house in the morning, then drove up to my friend John's house and toured his old farmstead. When i was driving through Bellows Falls, VT there was a stunning rainbow that i needed a wider-angle lens to capture. |

Walked with Bulo up to Wallingford Pond. Was surprised to find that it was mostly frozen over as it hadn't been all that cold lately. |
First day of the 21-22 winter season at Okemo. I taught a full-day kids group lesson of one level-4 kid. It was drizzly rainy for the first half of the day, then switched over to snow and got really windy. I was going to walk Bulo somewhere up Sugar Hill Rd., but there were a couple cars sliding around on the hill up to the railroad tracks, so i took him over to the field along Route 155 and tromped through the new snow. |
Full-day kids group lesson of one level-3 kid who was uncomfortable with crowds and the one slope we had to use was packed because the high winds kept the top of the mountain from being open. |
Full-day kids group lesson of one level-5 kid. Finally made it up to the top of the mountain. The one open slope from the top (World Cup) developed some huge moguls and concrete patches over the course of the day. |
Full-day adult group lesson of one level-1 man. He picked it up pretty well. I ate my lunch on the lift so that i could get a run in up to the top, where i snapped a pic of the new Evergreen lift. |
No snowboard lessons, so i was put to work standing in the entryway of the base lodge checking that everyone entering had proof of vaccination. Got relieved at 1:00 and went home, then that evening drove up to Shelburne to play winter league ultimate (late game). I missed the first two games of the session because i was on the waiting list and just got added to the Black team. It was weird to play on a team without the usual gang of Rutland-area players, but the team had a lot of young athletic kids and we stormed over the Pink team 43-24. |
