On rain hold in the morning. |
Busiest day yet at the challenge course. I did about five or six rescues. Back-zipped level 3 twice! |
Went up to the farm in the morning, worked until almost 3:00, then drove down to Shunk. |
|
Drove back to Vermont in the afternoon. |

I hadn't been feeling well and went to work kinda sick. We decided that i could go home and rest up. |
Still felt sick and for the first time, i clicked "yes" on a couple questions in the Vail daily health screening, thus failing the assessment and not being allowed back at work. I went to the health center and got a COVID-19 test (first one ever) and the doctor also wanted to take blood for a lyme test. |
Hoped to get test results today, but nope. Feeling slightly better.
|
Still no test results. Since i couldn't work, i drove down to Shunk, stopping at a couple of Lowe's along the way to replace the weed whacker that i'd run over with the tractor in May. No luck. There was a tree down across the grade (Wheelerville side) when i drove in. I was able to hook a tow strap to it and drag it out of the way. |
Drove to Sharp Top, then down to Lowe's in Montoursville where i finally found a replacement trimmer. Stopped along the Hoagland Branch on the way back. Got test results: COVID-19 negative. Forwarded that to Vail and they said i could go back to work TODAY. Told my manager that i'd be back on Thursday. |
Picked blueberries. Made jam. Lawn guys came and mowed the lawn. I'd moved all the boats onto the water to be out of the way. Rainstorm around dinner time filled the canoes a bit. Second test results: positive for lyme. Fortunately, the doctor had already put me on antibiotics. |
Drove home via Route 30 in New York. Took longer, but it was an interesting drive. |
I dropped a frito. |
