I'd decided to splurge on myself a little. I caught the 11:30 flight on CapeAir (Cessna 402C - 2 passengers and the pilot) from Rutland to Boston. Landed, took the shuttle to the Blue line and got off at State Street. The victory parade for the Boston Red Sox had just finished so there were a ton of people in downtown Boston. I walked around Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market for a while and had a slice of pizza from Regina's, then checked into the Millennium Boston Hotel, which was right across the street from the Hard Rock Cafe.

After checking in, i did some more wandering (even though my hip was a little sore), then decided to hop on the T to go see "Gravity." First time i've ever seen a movie in the new-style 3D. Pretty cool. After that i walked back to the hotel and then went to see DADA at the Hard Rock.

I dunno if it was something i ate or that i wasn't feeling well, but i had to make several trips to the bathroom during the two opening acts, which wasn't fun. I managed to stay vertical for the whole DADA part of the show, but i still wasn't feeling well. That may have biased my opinion, but it was probably the least interesting DADA show i've ever seen. Fairly standard set of songs and there really wasn't a very big crowd there at all.

Got up and had an expensive snooty breakfast at the hotel restaurant (French toast with cinnamon bread? Please...), then walked to the T and went to the airport. It took longer than i expected to get there due to fewer trains runnin on a sunday morning, plus the CapeAir terminal is the same as the JetBlue terminal, so there were a million and a half people waiting to go hrough security. At 9:35, one of the TSA agents called out for anyone who's flight left at 10:10 or earlier. Mine was scheduled for 10:05 so he came around to where i was at the end of the line, checked my ticket, and brought me all the way up to the front. Sweet! Of course, at CapeAir, if your flight leaves at 10:05, you line up for boarding at about 10:03.

It was socked in and raining in Boston, but about halfway through New Hampshire we broke out of the clouds and it was a beautiful day in Vermont. Our flight path took us just south of Okemo Mountain, across Wallingford Pond and Little Rock Pond, then we hung a sharp right and descended into the valley to the Rutland Airport. At one point we were flying along below the level of the Appalachian Trail, which was off to our right. Pretty cool.

Brought Seera in again and Chrystal stopped by with Juno and Matsu, but Matsu kept growling at Seera, so he went back into the car.
