Switched cars with Chris Saylor, giving him back his 4Runner and taking my FJ. Tested it out by drving up to the summit to check on the big trailmap sign. |
Drove down to Shunk, stopping at Wegman's in Binghamton for food and a yummy deli sandwich for dinner. My hip was sore for the first couple hours of the drive, but then it was okay for the remainder. Arrived at dusk to a cold empty house with no running water, as the house had already been shut down for the winter. |
Absolutely beautiful day up at the lake. I crutched around a little and moved some of the deck furniture in. That night i set my camera at its maximum ISO setting (3200) and tried taking some pictures of the stars, even though there was a very bright half moon in the sky lighting up the landscape. |
Cloudy and cooler today. I took the trampoline apart and cleared enough boats out of the way to back my camper into the barn. |
Took the day off work and drove home from Shunk. |
Spent the day puttering around the house and watching live ultimate from Nationals in Frisco, Texas, broadcast on ESPN3! Zowie. |
Seera asleep in the driveway. |
Josh and i drove up to the summit to hang some signs. This was his first time up there. I told him that on a clear day, you could see Mt. Washington. It was one of those days. |
First snow of the season. Nothing stuck for long. |
Back up to the summit to put up a few more signs. That afternoon i dropped my FJ off at Byrne's Truck Center to get Waxoyled. I rode the bus home after looking around in Mike's Country Store across the street for a while. Three or four sets of trick-or-treaters that night. Kind of a drizzly cold rainy night to be out. |
