Won the weekly disc golf league game with a 1 under, but the #1 tag holder was not there (free night at the Vermont State Fair) so i earned the #2 tag, which i held for a few minutes, then gave up, as i wouldn't be able to play for the rest of the season as i was having hip surgery in 2 days.

Mommy and Daddy arrived to stay for a week or so.

First ever surgery. I was taken in, given a gown, had an IV inserted, then after a while was taken in to pre-op. The weirdest part was that there was about 5 minutes of time that i simply do not remember at all. The nurse told me that i would have some amnesia and i remember talking with the anesthesiologist, then a nurse was calling my name and i opened my eyes in the recovery room and it was 3 and a half hours later. I stayed in post-op for a few more hours (with a very cute nurse) and was the last person to leave.
Felt a little nauseous on the car ride home, but survived, and my mom made me some soup for dinner. I slept (sort of) on the couch.

Spent the day on the couch.

Took the bandages off my hip and took a shower, plus slept upstairs for the first time since the surgery. Sort of slept. I'd basically been spending my days on the couch. But this was the last day that i took the oxycondin. It was upsetting my stomach, and my hip really wasn't painful.

Cornelia came down for a visit.

Went to Rutland to go out to dinner. Tried South Station, but it had closed, so went to Table 24, and even though there were a dozen or so empty tables, we were told that they couldn't seat us for an hour and a half. So we walked over to Little Harry's and had a decent dinner.

Mommy and Daddy left. leaving me to fend for myself. A huge gift package of treats arrived from Jason and Abby.

Seera hasn't been getting much walking time, so i went over to the Evening Song Farm fields and sat for a while, doing some writing while Seera and Echo hung out in the shade of the barn.

Went to the Evening Song barn to pick up my CSA share and hung out for a while, writing and talking with Kara and Laura and Ruby.

Went to the doctor for my follow-up appointment and had my stitches removed. That hurt and made my skin sore for a few days.

Back to work.

First physical therapy session. Mostly moving the joint around.

I had switched cars with Chris Saylor and was driving his 2007 Toyota 4Runner while he was driving my FJ Cruiser. Due to my surgery i couldn't drive a manual transmission, so i needed an automatic. I drove it down to Juliet's and spent the night.

I was Head Observer at Regionals in Devens, hobbling around the fields on my crutches. It was a gorgeous weekend, so i didn't mind at all being there. After the games all of the observeres went out to a Japanese kitchen style restaurant which was kinda underwhelming.

Second day of regionals. I videotaped one of the semifinal games for Charlie and Ultiworld.
I'd left Seera with Kara and Ryan at Evening Song Farm, and they had dropped her off at my house on Sunday afternoon so i came home to a happy dog.
