Went to work in case they needed me for training, which they did not, so i went home.

Day off, but there was some talk about a lesson that might show up. When i left on Tuesday, there was noting on my schedule. At 8:42 AM today, i got a call to tell me that i had a 3-hour private at 9:00. I rushed in to work and made it there, in boots and ready to go by 9:15. Good level-4ish lesson with a woman who was traveling around the country in her camper van.

Taught one person in a level-1 group lesson. She was getting the balance, but tired out after about an hour and a half.

No lessons. Went home after morning lineup.

Ran an all-day training session for second-year instructors. There was only one in the group, Ian, but Austin rode along with us all day and Greta joined us in the afternoon. I wiped out while doing a nose-roll and slammed into the cement-like snow.

One level-3 kid in the morning, then i was supposed to teach an employee in the afternoon and have new instructors shadow, but the student never showed, so i did a mock lesson/clinic with Jeremy, Zach, Parker, and Billy.

All-day adult lesson (morning and afternoon) with a level-2 teenager who hadn't ridden in a couple years. He picked it back up quickly and we did a couple runs to the top in the afternoon.

I was supposed to have an all-day level-6 kids lesson but he was tired out after the morning and didn't return for the afternoon half.

No snowboard lessons. Left after 10 o'clock line-up.

Taught three employees in the morning with two new instructors shadowing. I was supposed to to another shadow lesson in the afternoon, but no one showed up for it.

I went to bed the night before with a weather forecast of 5"–7" of snow. Woke up to about three feet! (Ludlow got 44"!) Spent a while digging out the truck, then took the drone up to the farm and got some overhead pics.

Had a green-level woman in a group lesson in the morning, then a less-than-cooperative 7-year-old in the afternoon.

All-day blue/black level kids. Two in the morning, one stayed for the full day. Tons of snow, lots of bumps—we wore each other out.

All-day blue/black level again. Same kid from all-day yesterday, but only for the morning, plus Noah all day.More trails open, still tons of snow, more bumps, more powder—we wore each other out again.

Morning group of one green level. Noah in the afternoon. Ingrown toenail was really hurting.

Noah was there for an all-day black level again, but Wayne pulled Mike over from Jackson Gore to take it, as my toe was really hurting. I served as a "Star Rider" for the morning, just riding up the A/B quads with a SnowStar skier, then was released after 1 o'clock line-up. From there i went to the Ludlow Health Clinic and had my toenail excised. Ow.

I was supposed to work today, but my toe was still really sore and tender, so i called out. It was pouring rain all day anyway.

Due to being a tender-toe, i was put on lift duty for the day. I arrived at 6:30 AM and was sent to the SnowStars basin to run the two lifts there, but Kaley decided to only open the bigger one, so a couple of us were redundant. It was a very slow morning and after lunch i asked to be let go for the afternoon to rest my toe.

All-day private with three kids—the older two picked it up quickly, the youngest one was going much slower.

Morning private with a girl that i'd had the year before. She was getting comfortable with her turns and we went up to the top of the mountain.

Pete wanted me to take the beginner kids today and have a new instructor shadow, but there was only one beginner and Andrew needed me for a blue-level kid. Eliza had five green-levels and we took a group lap to see how everyone shook out. Eliza ended up with three yellow-level kids and my blue-level was more of a green-level, so i had three for the morning then just the original kid for the afternoon. The snow conditions were very hard and scraped off and it got colder and windier throughout the day.

Black-diamond-level all-day lesson with one 14-year-old girl. The snow was decent in the morning but completely scraped off and concrete-like by the afternoon.
