I decided to take at least one picture with my iPhone every day and make a daily post on Instagram for the month of January. |

Six-hour private with a whole family, mostly beginners. I had lunch with them in their condo. |
Same family for another six hours, except that they wanted to get one run to the top so it ended up running a bit long. Nice family though—they fed me lunch again and bought me a waffle. |
Ran a morning exam-prep training clinic with Stafan, Lindsey, Chris, Joe, and Tigerlily. The afternoon clinic was supposed to be a green-level review but turned into another exam-prep clinic, with Gretchen, Austin, and Wayne. |
All-day adult lesson with one level 5-ish student. Snowed most of the day, but only an inch or two of accumulation. |
Anna was there to snowboard, but there was "no availability" so she rode a little with Wayne in the morning while i taught one adult level-4. In the afternoon, the adult that i was scheduled to have didn't show, so i jumped in on a school group (as did Anna), then when that was over at 2:30, i rode with Anna for an hour or so. Weird day. |

Full day kids lesson, don't remember what level. |
Morning private with an adult beginner. Afternoon group with one level-3ish kid. |
Morning 3-hour private with a level 4 20-year-old who had requested a female instructor, but since i'm the only snowboard instructor on the Clock Tower side on Mondays, she got me. I taught an afternoon adult group lesson, but i don't remember what level. |
Can't remember what i taught today. |
Full day kids lesson, upper level. Lost to the Green team at winter ultimate league 32-29. |

I was awoken at about 7:30 by a knocking on my door. My friend Jamie had slid off the road just up Route 140 and needed to use the telephone. She called her insurance and wasn't having much luck reaching a towing company so i walked across the street to the post office and asked if anyone there knew the Sewards, the local farmers. One of the mail carriers said said yeah, they're probably just finishing up the milking. Call them at xxxx. She only had to give me four digits because everyone in this town has the same extension. I went back home, called them, and they said that they could come over and pull it out. I drove Jamie up to where her car was and we waited fifteen minutes or so and the Sewards came over in their big front-end loader, hooked up a chain, and pulled the car out. Gotta like small-town life. |
Full day adult snowboard lesson—level 2ish, one person. There were more lessons in the afternoon which Shaun had, and i could have joined some of his into my group, but they opted to stay with Shaun. |
Morning 3-hour private with three teenagers—one who was a good level 4 or so, the other two who were level 2 to 3. Afternoon private with a level 4 kid. His parents wanted him dropped off at their condo along the Sachem trail, so it was 4:10 by the time we were done. |
Up to today, the youngest lesson i ever taught was a 5-year-old. Today i had a morning private with a mom, 8-year-old, and 4-year-old, then i had an afternoon private with just a 4-year-old. Both of the little kids did surprisingly well. |
Morning 3-hour private with a level 3 13-year-old. I was supposed to have an afternoon private as well, but it was a no-show, which i was relieved about. |
All-day lesson with a level 3 or 4 kid. He left after lunch though, so i was available for an afternoon adult lesson, but the people interested in it decided that it was too expensive, so i took a base loop with Kaylie, then went home. Once home, i published a compilation of a lot of the music that i've made over the years using Apple's GarageBand on my blog. We lost to Black at indoor ultimate league by a couple of points. |

Morning private with a cautious adult, then nothing in the afternoon. |
Morning private with a college kid who was picking up snowboarding pretty fast. Afternoon private with a nice 6-year-old girl who was learning to get on her toe edge. |
Morning private with the same college kid, but his foot started bothering him about halfway through, so we stopped early. That let me go out and ride with a gaggle of instructors and Bonnie from Stowe. They kept going in the afternoon, but i took a show-up pay and went home to rest up for Level 3 Prep clinics on Monday-Tuesday. |
Day one of the AASI Level 3 Exam Prep clinic at Killington. I ended up in Brian Donovan's group (with Loren as understudy). There were only five of us (me, Jackson, Brad, Riley, and Chris) and i was the least talented snowboarder in the group, although some of that might be attributable to the fact that i was the only goofy-foot rider and everyone else was regular, so i rode regular all day. |
Day two of Exam Prep clinic at Killington. Lots of steeps and bumps. Then after that i played ultimate. We beat the Gold team 38-28. |

I took three kids and a chaparone from a school group out for a couple hours (good riders), then taught a level-1 kid for the afternoon. |
