Having gutted the entire kitchen, removed a couple walls, and installed a big beam down the middle to hold the upstairs up, it was time to drop some money on new cabinets. I had decided on the type of cabinets that i wanted and got all of the spec books from the company. That company then put me in touch with a construction company through which i could order the cabinets and have the install done. A sales rep came to my house and saw that i'd already figured out what i wanted so told me that i should just go to the showroom and order the cabinets directly. I drove up there one Sunday and spent about an hour with a guy who kept trying to talk me out of certain cabinet decisions i'd made. After it was all done, he gave me a total: $15,000, plus installation. Now, this kinda surprised me because i'd told the salesman who had come to my house that i was expecting to pay about $8,000 and he said that i should probably get in at about that price. So the next week i went to The Home Depot and got a price on the EXACT SAME CABINETS for $9,000. So guess who i ordered from. |
I had the floors in the back half of my house sanded and coated. |
I got a package from Anonym Records of the CD "Play" by The Motet. I had helped out with some of the pre-press on this album. |
