Printmaking - IntaglioFall/1986In my second Printmaking class i concentrated more on linoleum prints and etching (spent most of Printmaking I doing silkscreening). For this series i calculated the amount of zinc in the plate i was going to use, then over the course of the term, i coated it, etched, it, coated it, etched it, etc. Each time i'd make one print, then dip it in the acid again. Somebody made off with generation 12 though. This piece is titled "The Evolution of Two Cubic Inches of Metal", Generations 1 through 19, including rotation A. (Also including a newsprint proof of Generation 0.) |
