Winter League ultimate, late game. We beat the Red team 38-30.

I was tasked with shooting pictures around the new SouthFace Village construction at Okemo around sunrise. Got some OK shots, although the marketing person ended up using the ones that she shot on her phone. CSA pickup at Evening Song Farm after work.

Turned 51. Beautiful day. Spent the morning snowboarding, then got the Mini out for this-has-to-be-the-last-time this season and drove over to the foot of the dirt road where Evening Song Farm is. Walked with Seera up to the farm to find a bunch of people, 4 more dogs, and a couple of pig carcasses that they were butchering. That evening i hung up the discs that used to hang on the wall in my room in Philadelphia.

This was the first birthday that i've ever had that i didn't receive one single gift from anybody. A little sad.

Winter League ultimate, early game. We beat the Black team 36-23.

Went over to the Homestyle Hostel in Ludlow (the Okemo Signshop made that sign) for a Ski + Ride School dinner. Saw a bunch of people i knew and met a few new people. Sam Turco took the picture of me.

Contrail. Dog. Knee. Today was really the last time out for the Mini. I drove over to the field along Rt. 155, then after our walk, i drove over to Mt. Holly and back, just because it was a nice day.

Hiked along the AT/LT.

Josh and i walked over to the Sugar House to install some signs. There's no snow anywhere.

Winter League ultimate, late game. We beat the Green team 27-19. We were trailing by 1 at the half. Late in the game i had a layout catch on a hammer from Robbie that was falling short of where i was standing. Got the disc and threw the goal, which put us up by 3 or 4 at that point.

After work i drove down to Glebe Mountain Gardens in Londonderry to buy a Christmas tree, then went to the last CSA pickup for the year at Evening Song Farm. That evening i plopped the tree in place.

I was scheduled to work today as i was going to take Monday off. I slept in though, then took all the trash and recycling to the transfer station. While Seera and i were walking by Elfin Lake, it started to lightly snow. By the time we were driving home, it was snowing harder. By the time i headed off to work, it was nearly white-out conditions. It snowed 3 inches in about an hour and a half. I took the above picture outside of the signshop and sent it to marketing. They immediately posted it on the Okemo website. Twenty minutes later i sent them an updated one with the snow just hitting the 3-inch mark.

That evening i unbound the tree and wrapped presents.

Got up, cleaned the house for a while, then drove down to Providence. Soon after i arrived, i accompanied Nina's family to see Isaiah sing with the Rhode Island children's choir at a humongous church in downtown Providence. I stayed up late watching the big projection TV.

Breakfast, then Mark, Isaiah, and i went to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens in IMAX 3D. It was pretty awesome. After that spectacle, we had lunch, then Seera and i drove back home, stopping by a field to walk around a little bit and take pictures of the tractors that were sitting there. Also stopped at the Vermont Country Store, but didn't buy anything as i can't eat their chocolate anymore.

Got my gift for supporting the Bill Nye movie: a signed Discraft Ultrastar. I was a little miffed though, because it was a misprint.

Mommy, Daddy, and the Suchman/Tannenwald family arrived from two different directions at about the same time that evening and proceeded to load the kitchen with food.

I went to work. After work we all sat around the woodstove, the dogs ignoring each other. Nice sunset that evening.

The loot. I gave everyone calendars and some other things. I got a Lego Architecture set (yay!) and some books. After the mess was made by the tree, i went to work for a couple of hours. While there, i had some gut troubles and it was later discovered that the lasagna that my mother had made, which we'd all eaten the night before, had commercial spaghetti sauce in it, which has soybean oil in it. Came home, had lunch, went for a walk with Seera. Was starting to feel a little better by dinner.

Went for a walk with Seera at the top of the world field while relatives either swam, exercised, or napped.

Everyone left and the house became very quiet.
