Sun and rain...

Drove from Shunk down to Philly so that my dad could get me to meet this woman he's been trying to set me up with. I stopped in at Kilian's hardware and helped a few customers.
Drove back up to Shunk, stopping at World's End State Park to let the dogs out for a bit and take some pictures.
Got Alpha Blue's CD "Agave Summer" in the mail today from Debo.
Drove from Shunk to Edna & Greg's house in Littleton, MA.
I spent the morning at Henry Kolm's house while Greg and Edna tended to the two beehives there. Then i drove over to Concord and hung out at CA for the afternoon, meeting lots of class-of-84-ers. Stayed there for the class dinner (a few of us 83ers crashed the 84's reunion) and then hung out in one of the dorm common rooms for a while before heading back out to Littleton.
I was standing in the dinner line at the CA reunion and none other than my former college counselor Deanna Douglass was standing in line in front of me. Someone introduced us and she looked at me with a vague search-the-memory kind of look on her face. I let her think for a couple seconds then just said "Me, Don, and Damon." and suddenly there was this look of complete rememberance on her face. It was very amusing.

Drove over to Polly Hubbard's house in Roslyndale and visited with her and her new baby. We took a walk to a park which had a nice view of the Boston skyline. Then i drove back to Concord to a retirement party for Barbara Nicolson, a teacher at CA (her son Ed was in my class). When that wrapped up, i drove to Medford and visited with Nancy Nicholson and her new baby. Finally back out to Littleton, where i'd left the dogs all day.
Drove down to Providence and stopped in at the scooter shop, but Patrick was up at the Laconia bike week in New Hampshire, so i headed over to my sister Nina's house and stayed there for a couple days.
Drove down to Westport, MA and visited Linda Leonard and her 4 kids and 2 dogs for a while.
Stopped in to hang with Patrick for a while, then hit the road back to Shunk.

Packed up the truck, hooked up the Scamp, and drove west on US-6 to Punderson State Park near Newbury, OH. Pulled in to a not-quite-level campspace and met a few other ultimate players who were also camping there.

Played in the B division of the Cleveland "No Surf" ultimate tournament with a team from Chicago called the Aldermen. Turns out i knew a few of the players on the team from various Spring and Summer league teams. (I had emailed the tournament director asking if he knew of any teams i could hook up with and he directed me to the Aldermen.) I think we lost all of our games, but we may have won one...

We played a couple more games and i think we won one and lost one. I hung for a little bit, then hit the road back to Shunk, which was an OK drive except for the hour-long delay in a construction zone on I-80 in PA. Is there ever a time when there is NO construction going on on I-80 in PA? I'll bet people can work their whole lives just repaving I-80.
I took the picture of the dogs (Seera with her head on Teco) while i was driving.

I was taking some late-evening shots of the lake house and the barn, and the upstairs of the barn, which was my living space for the summer. Yep, livin' in a barn.

Don't have to worry about keeping the water-bowl full.
My camera had this dark spot on all the pictures in the same place, so i finally sent it in to Fuji to get fixed.
