Katie and i did three tours. Katie led the first one of three Saudi Arabian women, then i led the second and third. The second was a group of seven 16-year-old girls and one dad. The third was two friends of an Okemo employee and Jacob and Morgan from Evening Song Farm. Those are some peppers from my plants. |

I got my copy of Moss Motoring today, with the story that i wrote in it. I got my bike out and took a ride around the neighborhhod. I took pictures of some farm machinery, then talked with a couple of people who live along Parker road.

Disc golf league night. I shot a -4 on the front, but bogeyed two on the back, for a -2 overall, but won the night. |

Did two tours with Nicky, she led the first, i led the second. Then i spent a few hours sitting in the Mountain Outfitters shop doing a book signing. I sold four books, but one kid, who bought Jam-bo, came back half an hour later to tell me how much he liked the book. Cool!

Rainy morning. I got there at 7:30 for inspection, but Shaun never showed. Finally at 8:15, Chris and i went up to do inspection. Came back down to find that the tours had been shifted back half an hour. I did two tours with a very grumpy Shaun, then led a tour with Katie in the afternoon. The weather turned out to be pretty nice all day. |
Okemo closed everything since it rained all day.

Morning at the farm, then drove down to Shunk, stopping at a comic book store in Troy, NY on the way. |
|
Drove over to shunk and saw a herd of deer in the field, then a different bunch crossed the grade in front of me just down the road. |
Drove down to Don & Sharon's house in Alexandria, VA, stopping at the Smithsonian Udvar-Hazy Center on the way. |
Hung out with Don & Sharon. We went over to Huntley Meadows park and saw muskrats. That night we watched the theatricul-cut version of Blade Runner (the one with the voiceover). |
Went to see Blade Runner 2049 in a super-fancy theater with big reclining seats, then spent the afternoon at Sharon's parent's apartment. |
Drove from Don & Sharon's house in Alexandria, VA to my parents' house in Philadelphia. I don't know how people live with daily traffic. |
Took a walk along the Wissahickon, then drove from Philly to Shunk. |
Dismantled Poppop's duck blind. |
|
Shut the house down. While i was carrying a ladder back to the barn, i stepped on some slippery moss and fell down on top of the ladder, smashing my ribs. Felt like they cracked or tore or something. Ow. After all the water was drained, i drove from Shunk to East Wallingford, VT. |
Went to work in the challenge course for 4 hours. There was a school group there from Marblehead, MA so the Adventure Zone opened just for them. |
Battle For Route 100 disc golf tournament. BCO beat us again. I was worried that my damaged ribs would prevent me from playing, but i managed to throw well enough. I even got a birdie on hole 15 of The Maples, a first! The picture above is where i hit the birdie shot from. |

Took the FJ for service and walked across the street to turn in my jar of change at the CoinStar machine. I had:
The FJ needed new front brakes, so i went over to Stove Depot and ordered some wood pellets, then wandered around Tractor Supply for a while. After that i went to the farm. |
One thing that i hadn't found for the 2017 Moss Motoring Challenge was a parade, so i drove over to Rutland that evening and found a parking spot close enough to the parade route to get a picture of the Mini. |
