The toilet in the downstairs bathroom had been slowly sinking into the floor for a while, so today i ripped out said floor and found that two of the beams under the floor were nearly rotted through. Fun, another home-improvement project... getting sick of old houses.

Got a load of firewood delivered. Now to stack it all...

Came home today to some new windows on my house. I was having 14 windows replaced and it took the installers about 3 days to do them all, but i never saw them once since i was always at work when they were working.

I drove over to Eugene's house in the afternoon and met up with Wheaton and Meiko and we all drove up to Burlington. We dropped Eugene off at Nick's house, then the rest of us went to Wheaton's grandparent's house, where we had a home-cooked meal, watched a Red Sox game on TV, and spent the night.

Got up early, picked up Eugene, then drove up to Montreal for a mixed ultimate tournament. We played well as a team, although after feeling that i wasn't gonna last the day, i dropped back into a "perma-dump" roll on offense and kept my legs for all the games. We won all 3 games in our pool, then played one of the low seeds from the more competitive pool, and beat them, moving ourselves up to the top bracket for Sunday.

Bhava had booked a couple of tiny rooms in a seedy downtown hotel which had the only redeeming factor of being close to the party site. That turned out to be not much of a factor as hardly anyone else but our team went to the party.

We were a little overmatched in the top bracket and proceeded to lose both of our games. I had a few diving catches on some iffy dump passes, but otherwise my throwing skills were sub-par.

Big traffic jam over the bridge out of Montreal, but we finally got away, stopped for some ice cream, and made it back to Wheaton's grandparent's house for another great meal. Then we headed back down home.

Meiko came over in the afternoon and we drove down to Keene, NH, where i dropped her off at a friend's house. I grabbed a slice of reuben pizza from Ramunto's (which i'd never known was there), and continued down to the Dripps' house in Littleton.

Boston Invite ultimate tournament. I observed a few games and ran the observers. Saw Charlie's NYU roommate Hussayn and my friend Brian Cleary there.

I didn't stretch out before observing the first game of the day and pulled both of my hamstrings, putting me out of observing for the rest of the tourney. I was bummed because i knew that i was going to Grand Masters Nationals in two weeks. Limped around not happy.

I went to Rutland ultimate, but since my legs were still hurting, i didn't play and just took pictures. That's Scout, Teco, a disc that got thrown right at me, Leanne & Meiko, and Rose & Leanne.

Went out to ultimate and jogged around. Surprisingly, my legs felt pretty OK, so i played a bit at a medium speed.
