Cleaned up the house and drove back to Vermont.

I took a lot of pictures of my dogs this month, trying to get good portraits of them.

Got up early and drove down to North Amherst, MA for College Regionals. We had 6 observers, including me, and it rained on and off the whole day. We had 3 stoppages for lightning. This was the first test of my injured knee and it held up much better than i expected.
We all went out to eat that night at a great Korean restaurant nearby and i picked up the check for everyone, which was nice to be able to do. Stayed at a hotel in Northampton with all the other observers.

Day 2 of College Regionals. No rain, but colder and windier. We had 2 more observers, so we could do all the semis, finals, and games-to-go. It was cool to see both Middlebury teams make it to Nationals.

Jen Hartigan came over and we went out and walked the dogs along the AT/LT, then had dinner at Sal's in Wallingford.

I drove down to Springfield to see my friend/coworker Aaron in his acting debut as Riff-Raff in the Rocky Horror Show. It was community theater at its core. Tiny theater, small production, highly variable acting skills across the cast... Interesting.

First long hike of the season. On the way back along the AT/LT, i saw something trundling through the woods about 30 or 40 yards in front of me. As it crossed the trail i realized that it was an adolescent bear, not too big. Seera saw it to and stood still on the path watching it, but she didn't go after it. When i got up to the spot where it crossed, i saw this nice fresh paw print.
