I went out to see "The Fisher King" with Patrick and Marsha in Davis Square. Had pizza for dinner after the movie, then visited Nancy. Nancy lived about 4 blocks from Patrick in Somerville.

I drove Lucas to work out at Henry's office near Bedford airport, then drove on down to Philly. I got to Chestnut Hill and worked at the hardware store from 2:00 to 5:30. Went to bed early.

Worked at the hardware store. Went out to dinner with Russel and Hope (bad Mexican food).

Worked. Saw a beautiful girl in the store.

Sunday. Did some crossword puzzles, listened to music, baked bread, didn't go outside.

Worked. Nothing interesting.

Worked. Russell took me out to dinner. Turkey grinders at McNally's.

Worked. Called Caitlyn Frost, called Tricia Hurley. Fixed the cuckoo clock and hung it back up.

Worked. After work i drove up to Shunk.

Had breakfast at Gramma & Poppop's: pancakes, grilled side of pork, boiled pigs feet. (no, i didn't eat any of the pig's feet.) After that i drove around the lake with Poppop, then after some more visiting, i drove back to Philly pretty fast.

Didn't sleep well. My back hurt all day. After work i stopped by a CD store and browsed, but didn't buy anything. That evening i called Don asking about Damon's address.

Worked. Kickass rain storm today. No mail (as usual).

Worked. After work i drove downtown and had dinner with Caitlyn, then went over to Tower Records and bought 2 CDs (Nanci Griffith - Late Night Grande Hotel and Earthworks - All Heaven Broke Loose).

As i was walking along the street from Tower Records back to my car, i passed a guy who said to me as he passed by (without looking at me) "Hell of a buzz. Try it first."

Worked. Packed up stuff to go back home.

Worked. After work i played some 2-on-2 ultimate, banged my knee and bruised my thumb. Packed some more when i got home.

Worked. Tried to rivet my shoe back together, but it didn't work, so i stapled it. After my stint back east, i decided (for monetary reasons partly, but also it seemed like a cool thing to do) to take the train back to Albuquerque. I caught the 4:30 Broadway Limited out of 30th Street Station bound for Chicago. Big comfy seats but there wasn't much to do and it was crowded and COLD in that train car. I think i slept a little...

But didn't sleep much. Got to Chicago 2-1/2 hours late. Paul picked me up at Union Station and we went out for pizza for lunch with Wendy, then we all went to the Field Museum for a while in the afternoon. At 5:00, i got aboard the Southwest Chief and headed west. The trains west of Chicago are taller, with a double-decker observation car, since there aren't any low underpasses that they have to pass under. I tried to sleep in my seat again. Still didn't sleep much, but it wasn't as cold.

I awoke at dawn and headed to the dining car for breakfast. They seat you with whoever, filling all the seats. I didn't have a whole lot of money, so didn't eat much. Later that day, as the fields of Nebraska and Kansas passed by, i watched "Thelma and Louise" in the lounge car.

The trip through the mountains of Colorado and NM (over Raton Pass) was beautiful and we arrived on time in Albuquerque at about 5:00 PM. Tricia picked me up at the station and drove me home. I zonked out early.

Tricia drove me out to Santa Rosa and i paid $333 for the repairs on my van (new cylinder head). 30 miles outside of Santa Rosa, the radiator busted. Tricia was following me so she drove me to the next exit and we called the garage in Santa Rosa and they towed it back to fix it again. Tricia and i then explored around the Santa Rosa area for a while, drove back to Albuquerque and had dinner at Ron's Camino Real.

Got a new drivers license. Found out that the state of NM had put a freeze on hiring, so i wasn't about to land a job at the Natural History Museum. Found out that my van had a cracked block. Ugh. Worked on my computer.

Worked on my Mac. Went out to see "Dead Again", which was pretty good.

Met with a guy named Ron about working on graphics for a video game from American Laser Games called "Space Pirates".

Played ultimate. Aggravated my puleld butt muscle.

Played more ultimate. Further aggravated butt. Watched some of the Superbowl over at Bill & Caroline's house. Had dinner (veggie pancakes) over at Tricia's.

Printed out some Space Pirates stuff and dropped it off at American Laser Games.

Biked out to see a guy about a mapping job. Caught the 11:45 Greyhound bus out to Santa Rosa and paid another $400 for my van and finally drove it all the way back to Albuquerque.

Worked on Space Pirates graphics.

Worked all day silk-screening stuff for Space Pirates. Had dinner at Sadie's (combo plate) with Caroline, Bill, Charlie, and my mom, who was in town visiting.

Finished silk-screening Space Pirates stuff, ran around doing some errands, then left in the late afternoon for Phoenix with Eric, Dan, Anastasia, and their dog Xena.
