The Zots guys had a pretty exact idea of what they wanted for this cover. I did all of the compositing and created the "smoke" typeface. The inside was more interesting as i used the cyan, magenta, and yellow plates from the scans of the color blobs (colored oil and water in a ziplock bag) and used an Illustrator document of white type knocked out of a black background overlayed on the other three colors.
